Lamborghini

In the 1960's, tractor manufacturer Ferruccio Lamborghini set up Automobili Lamborghini because of a conflict between Enzo Ferrari and himself, where Lamborghini went to see Ferrari about a faulty clutch in his Ferrari 250 GT. Ferrari told him to go back and drive tractors because he was unable to drive cars. So Lamborghini took the car back to his workshop and dismantled the clutch. Then he noticed that the clutch manufacturer was the same manufacturer that made the clutches for his tractors. Lamborghini found a spare clutch and fitted it to the car and the problem was solved.
Lamborghini then decide to set up his own company to rival Ferrari. He decided that his car was to have a V12 engine and enlisted the help of Giotto Bizzarrini, who had previously worked on the Ferrari V12. In 1964 the Lamborghini 350 GTV (350 GT), a year after first showing the car at the Turin Auto Show, the cars began to sell with great success, 130 cars sold. At last Lamborghini was born.
